Amber Lee Harkonen (aka ‘goose’, to her nearest and dearest) was born with a gift for thrift, beginning by raiding her grandmothers' closets and soon graduating to the second-hand shops of Montreal’s renowned Plateau area. Often, she would tailor and customize the finds, creating unique new pieces to dazzle her friends. Amber’s eye for style led her to Toronto, Italy, Finland and New York as a fashion designer, merchandiser and stylist. Over the years, she has maintained a reverence for fine textiles, fair trade, ethics and sustainability in fashion. She combines these passions in her Hi Goose Studio.
