I'm Andy Darroch. I spent over a decade inside the industry - 125-year-old stockbroker Wilson HTM, , then Macquarie Private Bank, then Deloitte- watching what actually happens to clients' money: layers of fees, needless complexity, and advice bent by commissions and conflicts.
In 2021 I left and started Independent Wealth Advice, a financial planning practice with no commissions, no product sales, and no institution standing behind it telling me what to recommend.
The Honest Adviser is the same idea, made available to everyone. The masterclasses cover what the overwhelming majority of Australians need to retire well - super, contributions, tax, funds, investments - in one morning, for the price of about an hour with a traditional adviser. I only recommend industry funds you'll recognise, and nobody pays me to say so.
