I came to dance improvisation and Contact Improvisation (CI) in my mid-twenties, nurtured by many fine dancers, performers and educators, as part of Melbourne’s thriving improv community. I was a founding member of the performance collective, The Little Con, undertook a solo residency with Victoria University in 2009, and taught Dance Improvisation & Body Awareness at Deakin University for 3 years. On returning to Albury in 2011, I ran the Write Around the Murray Festival for 12 years.
I love sharing the skills and principles of dance improv and contact improv, practices I find deeply nourishing and philosophically rich.
