ArLA Community Australia is a volunteer-led, registered charity organisation that supports Latin American women in architecture and related fields as they contribute to the Australian professional and cultural landscape.
Our primary purpose is to promote reconciliation, mutual respect, and tolerance by addressing systemic barriers that prevent skilled female migrants in the architecture, design, and construction sectors from fully participating in professional and community life. By challenging discrimination and fostering understanding between Latin American and Australian cultures, we create pathways for their knowledge, experience, and cultural perspectives to contribute meaningfully to the Australian community.
We pursue this purpose through educational activities and shared learning opportunities that build skills, amplify diverse voices, and strengthen cultural awareness in the profession. In this way, advancing education supports our reconciliation goals and ensures our work delivers lasting public benefit to both the industry and wider society.
