The Australia Vietnam Policy Institute (AVPI) is the leading bilateral policy institute focused on building the Australia-Vietnam partnership.
Launched in February 2022, the AVPI provides a platform for thought leadership and collaboration. The AVPI coordinates publications with AVPI Fellows; hosts events across both Australia and Vietnam to promote understanding and practical cooperation; undertakes strategic projects, including engaging business on cross-border investment challenges; and leverages its network of partners for ideas, research and to further expand its impact.
In its first three years, the AVPI has established a strong national presence, engaging with over 1700 representatives across business, government, academia, and non-profits; building a community of over 35 Knowledge Partners who engage in knowledge sharing and drive collaboration around joint objectives; signing Memorandums of Understanding with two strategic partners in Vietnam; and hosting events in every Australian State and Territory, as well as in Hanoi and in Ho Chi Minh City.
