The Australian Breastfeeding Association (ABA) is Australia's largest breastfeeding information and support service. Breastfeeding is a practical, learned skill and ABA helps more than 80,000 mothers each year. ABA Victorian Branch runs antenatal Breastfeeding Education Classes in many locations around the state so parents-to-be can learn about breastfeeding. Our classes are run by volunteers with a Cert IV in Breastfeeding education (or equivalent), most of whom have breastfeeding experience themselves. The classes are interactive, detailed, and designed to give you the knowledge and confidence to breastfeed your baby - in conjunction with an ABA Virtual Village membership to support you after baby is born. Please make sure you buy your ABA membership before buying your class ticket.
If you have questions about your class, contact us through this page or call 03 9791 4644 - our branch office is open Tuesday-Thursday 10am-4pm. For breastfeeding counselling, call the National Breastfeeding Helpline on 1800 686 268.
