ayo ohs (A.O./she/they) is a socially engaged artist and director working in sound, healing arts, and performance. ayo has presented choreography, theater, and spatialized audio compositions in their NYC studio, and in venues throughout NY and San Francisco, where their work was described as “feisty, clever and poignant” by the SF Bay Guardian. ayo has directed and performed at venues such as the Brooklyn Academy of Music, The Public Theatre, the Venice Biennale, the Walker Art Center, MOMA, Onassis Cultural Center Athens, and others. As an anti-racist facilitator and somatic healer, ayo is a founding member of Movement Research’s Artist of Color Council, a co-facilitator of Radical Love and Equity, and the founder of Anti-Oppression Yoga, a network of free online videos and classes.
