Bee Asha is a genre-blending independent spoken word artist, singer,, creative activist and Workshop Facilitator. Creating music and art that challenge perspectives and spark conversation, Asha’s work fuses storytelling with rhythm - songs that will move you both lyrically and physically. Asha facilitates Trauma informed, Anti-racist and EDI focused Creative Workshops.
Dubbed “one of the most interesting creatives in Scotland” by The List UK, Bee Asha won Best Newcomer at the 2021 Scottish Alternative Music Awards (SAMA’s), and was shortlisted for BBC Introducing Scottish Act of the Year. Her debut album Goodbye, Gracious was longlisted for the Scottish Album of the Year Award.
Her new project What a Beautiful Place to Fall Over explores Leith and the effects gentrification is having on small businesses and the local community.
Bee is collaborating with 6 Leith creatives to write a series of songs and preforming them live gigs in iconic Leith businesses.
