While certainly not a Castrato, Ben is an artist of striking vocal range - armed with a unique male Soprano one of few who can bring this story to life. His work traverses opera, jazz, musical theatre and cabaret with effortless fluency. Equally adept in drama and comedy, he brings a rare emotional intimacy to the stage, forging an exhilarating connection with his audience.
Trained at WAAPA and NIDA, Ben’s career began in physical theatre and circus, including being shortlisted for Cirque du Soleil and performing as the first aerial artist to cross the stage at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. He also made a cameo appearance in Baz Luhrman’s film Moulin Rouge!, marking an early association with the world of French-inspired performance that continues to inform his work.
His international career has seen him perform across Australia, France, Italy and Spain, as well as in Vienna alongside Eurovision winner Conchita Wurst, and in Paris by invitation of the Australian Ambassador. He has appeared on The Voice Australia and Britain’s Got Talent, performing at the London Palladium, and most recently delivered a standout appearance on America’s Got Talent, captivating a global audience.
