I am a music lover.

Trained classically from age 2 studying to A.Mus.A (concert) level in piano, harpsichord and cello, I toured nationally and internationally as a soloist and within orchestras. This experience is the foundation of my contemporary musical practice.

Discovering electronic music in the 90s sparked a deep curiosity that led me to join indie bands, improvise, and research and experiment with various electronic devices to manipulate the sounds of my instruments. I’ve since developed my own compositional and performance language refined through many local and international collaborations in the electro-acoustic music field, AV production, field recording, and spatial and immersive sound design.

I compose broadly, from modern classical, electronic to noise music, and I’m always open to discovering new sounds and people to create with. I’m keen to expand the parameters of what music can be, through the innovative use of instruments, new technologies, sonification, and exploring sound as a medium for healing, inclusion and connection. I am endorsed by Yamaha and Ableton which opens up further connections with the global music community.

I’ve self released 6 albums and organised and managed many performances, release parties and tours nationally and internationally. More recently, I’m focusing on the applying new technologies and scientific innovations within the context of my practice. I explore the human body as a musical instrument, identity, and the relationship of sound and medicine. Since 2016, I became Australia’s first researcher at the Moscow Conservatory in the field of music and genetics, research findings published by MIT Leonardo journal (2020).

Founded in Tokyo 2009, my studio “contrapuntal” drives my projects around the world. A sound and research-lab, record-label and creative production hub, I’ve successfully brought my experimental practice into the commercial realm, working with a diverse range of clients from Art Museums, festivals, commercial and luxury brands, fashion, TV, theatre, film and government agencies, across 15 countries.

Through contrapuntal, I've run immersive art events all around the world! Looking forward to welcoming you.
