I learned that running the day-to-day operations of a hospital cancer unit as a pharmacist. Rosters, budgets, safety checks, stakeholder management, external supplier contracts.
We critique every new medicine before approving it in a market. AI is no different.
For the last two years I have trained leaders and educators in AI across Asia and Europe through the EmpowerEd programme with the Asia-Europe Foundation, 63 people across 18 countries.
I started Re:Gen AI because I wanted a space like this to exist in Waikato.
Students, people building things with AI, researchers, business people, all come together to have the important discussions.
The first one in July 2026 had 100+ registrations and 86 people in the room.
