BetterMan is a charity that focuses on helping men become better versions of themselves. We aim to help men improve their mental health and well-being through engaging events, courses and initiatives. The cornerstone principles of these are BYC (had to get a cricket reference in there somewhere...) being:
Betterment - Helping others to learn and make improvements in various areas of their life to become better versions of themselves.
Yarns - All of our events will have a component where we talk about some of the tougher topics, lean into vulnerability, and encourage men to talk with and check in on their mates.
Competition - Our background and passion is from a place of competing, we’ll add an element of that to all of our events to build camaraderie and connection.
BetterMan has been founded by Ged Robinson (former rugby player for the Crusaders, Highlanders, Hurricanes, and Rebels), Todd Astle (former Black Caps and Canterbury cricketer) and Todd’s brother Ryan Astle (former football player for the under-7 Hokowhitu Zodiacs).
