Bianca Yrure is a multi-disciplinary Artist from Dharug country (Western Sydney), working in mediums of painting, drawing, installation and photography. She holds a Bachelor of Visual Arts (2017) from The University of Sydney and SOA for Museum and Gallery Studies. Bianca has a history working a professional art installer and project/production manager in numerous institutions of the Greater Sydney Region.
Bianca’s subjects heavily revolve around nature as a place of contemplation and reflection, exploring the ever-present cycles of growth and decay, life and death. Through both representative and metaphorical imagery, Bianca alludes to the similarities and interconnections between all living beings while reflecting on the healing and regenerative power of nature. Her work acts as a gateway, inviting the viewer to immerse themselves in dreamlike lands, feeling the energy and depth of places portrayed.
Bianca has previously been published in a number of magazines such as Art Edit Australia, and has been highly commended in prizes including Camden Art Prize in 2019 and Art Edit Magazines Self Represented Artist Award 2022.
