BIFF WARD. At the age of 82, Biff is excited at this new departure, the fusion of InterPlay and DeepEcology in the workshop called Deep EarthPlay. She has been ‘playing’ in the international InterPlay community for 20 years where she is a leader and teacher. After a lifetime of activism, groupfacilitation and mentoring, and some Deep Ecology workshops, Biff sees her role now as simply sowing (or dropping) seeds….
JAY HARTMANN. Part of the InterPlay community for over 2 decades, Jay trained in using InterPlay forms that focus on movement, voice and storytelling as active and creative ways to unlock the body’s wisdom. For years she has been crafting her unique workshops and has also been collaborating with others, both in Australia and overseas. In recent few years, she has been deeply engaged in exploring the treasures and precepts of Deep Ecology within an InterPlay format and modality.
PATRICK ANDERSON. A forest activist and student of Buddhism, Patrick had participated and co-led Deep Ecology workshops in Australia, Europe and Asia since the 1980’s. Patrick is a research associate at the Australian National University, president of the Rainforest Information Centre, and chair of the High Carbon Stock Approach, a standard for avoiding deforestation while ensuring human rights are respected.
SKYE ETHERINGTON. Lives on Djiringanj land on NSW South coast and is a passionate leader of nature connection, deep ecology practices and creative exploration of the more than human world. She trained in the Work That Reconnects with Joanna Macy a few decades ago and offers creative ceremony in her community to engage connection with our ecological identity.
