Big Fiddle Little Fiddle is a ten-year collaboration between Jess Foot (fiddle & hardanger) and Louise Godwin (cello). The duo has garnered a reputation for joyful performances featuring eclectic fiddling styles, chamber folk, driving rhythms, and inventive arrangements of original tunes. BFLF pushes the sonic and creative boundaries of musical traditions and practices, drawing on Celtic, Scandinavian, English, Quebecois, Americana, contemporary Australian and original music. They regularly collaborate with a tea party of musicians from different realms in folk, traditional, improvisatory, baroque, classical and new music. The duo’s arrangements have been performed by other ensembles including the baroque string quartet Wattleseed Ensemble and Shane Lestideau’s Evergreen Ensemble.
