🌿 BIMSARA – Bay Islands Multi Sport and Recreation Association
BIMSARA is a cornerstone of the Southern Moreton Bay Islands community, established in 2018 to strengthen local sport, recreation, and community wellbeing. We provide vital auspicing, administrative support, and blanket insurance for local clubs, while hosting major community events such as LUMI Lantern Festivals, Australia Day Family Fun Days, multicultural celebrations, workshops, and more.
With around 150 members across multiple clubs and initiatives, BIMSARA fosters participation, inclusion, and resilience. Our facilities at the Bay Islands Multi Sports and Resilience Hub support a wide range of activities, and our work has helped improve physical and mental health, build community connection, and create a sense of belonging across the islands.
As residents frequently engage with us for ideas, support, and collaboration, BIMSARA continues to grow as a trusted, community‑driven organisation dedicated to enhancing life on the Bay Islands.
