At the Black Teacher Project, we believe every child deserves a Black teacher.
We support Black teachers in thriving personally, professionally, and collectively through learning experiences rooted in Black identity, wellness, quality instruction, and leadership for liberation. Our programs create space for Black educators to deepen their practice, sustain themselves in the profession, build meaningful relationships with one another, and shape classrooms and school communities where both they and their students can thrive.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we work alongside Black educators and partners to build the conditions Black teachers need to stay, lead, grow, and teach from a place of wholeness, inquiry and possibility.
