A rave for readers. Book Doof started in Melbourne as a silent reading party: a whole room reading together, ambient music low in the background, no one asking what you're reading. Now it's in Canberra.
Bring a book. We'll handle the rest. Come alone, with a mate, or with your kid. Half the room usually comes solo, and that's the point. Stay for a chat afterwards, or don't.
