BOOKTHEWRITER presents "Pop-Up Book Groups" with some of the most exciting novelists, memoirists, humorists, biographers, non-fiction writers and essayists at work today. Capped at around 20 participants, and hosted in private homes in NYC with a simultaneous Zoom, Pop-Up Book Groups provide an extraordinary opportunity to have a real conversation with an author whose work you've long admired, or whom you've just discovered. Please purchase the book (any format), read it in advance, and come with lots of questions for the author.

In-Person Registrants will be sent the physical address (in Manhattan) one week before the event.
Online Registrants will be sent the Zoom link one week before the event. A BOOKTHEWRITER intern will be in the Zoom room with you to assist you in asking questions directly to the author or to read your question on your behalf.
If the event you wish to attend in person is sold out, you are encouraged to add your name to the waitlist. If you wish to purchase an online ticket while you remain on the waitlist, feel free. If an in-person ticket becomes available (which happens frequently) your online ticket will be refunded.
Refunds: Pop-Up Book Groups are small and intimate events. We encourage you not to cancel, as it is often impossible to find another buyer for unused tickets. If there is someone on the waitlist who is able to purchase the ticket, we will refund. If not, you are welcome to gift or re-sell the ticket, yourself. In short, we will do our best to find another buyer for your ticket, but can't guarantee a refund.
