Bridget H. Gurrie (she/her) is a Naarm/Melbourne based designer and creative practitioner who explores self-reflections and experiences through conceptual textile-focused works.
Her creative practice mainly focuses on processing and dissecting her own past trauma and grief, specifically her experiences of sexual assault and abuse. Bridget utilises the tactile textile-making technique of wool felting to create visual representations that allow her the space to reclaim her voice, as well as aiming to help others with reclaiming their own. She is extremely passionate about the education of consent and the validation of those who are survivors of sexual assault and abuse.
In future years, Bridget aims to continue further study in Art Therapy, specifically interested in working with individuals that struggle with C-PTSD and sexual trauma.
