Bronwen is a creative professional with 20 years' experience as a cellist and teacher, alongside earlier experience as a public servant and disability professional in universities.
She first explored textiles in her grandmother’s sewing room, where she learned to sew handkerchiefs. In her teens she made her own clothes and started patchworking with her aunty.
Her more recent creative practice has developed through art, travel, sketching and watercolour.
In 2014 she learned this no-sew, woven rag rug technique and has been teaching it since 2023. She has delivered workshops through community arts settings in South Australia, including The Stable Macclesfield, Macclesfield Creative Pursuits and Prospect City Library.
Across these different chapters, one theme remains constant: Bronwen loves helping people discover and nurture their creativity.
