Calgary Search and Rescue Association (CALSARA) is a dedicated volunteer organization committed to providing professional aid to those in distress. CALSARA’s mission is to provide trained, professional and dedicated ground search and rescue, community education, public safety and emergency disaster response to the communities of Calgary and surrounding areas. CALSARA has a team of over 70 dedicated volunteers who commit time to training, regular meetings, administration responsibilities, public education and meticulous upkeep of specialized equipment. Each year, our dedicated team responds to 20-30 emergency taskings, providing an average of 1500 hours of professional search and rescue response efforts to our community.
