CannabizMD was founded by Jacquie Cohen Roth, MS in 2017 with a vision to create a unique ecosystem supporting the nascent U.S. medical cannabis industry. The founding mission of CannabizMD included a focus to educate, build and engage an ecosystem supporting Maryland’s nascent industry’s growth and sustainability via an exchange of ideas and innovation. In short order, the CannabizMD website content and its programs caught industry professionals' national and international attention. Jacquie’s vision for a global resource to help fill the void of quality medical cannabis science and policy education became a reality.
The CannabizMD ecosystem includes medical cannabis company owners/operators, physicians, advanced practice healthcare providers, regulators, researchers, scientists, policy influencers, and ancillary service providers to advance the industry’s best standards and optimal patient outcomes.
The values of CannabizMD reflect a desire to support the vision, culture, and company values of its ecosystem members. Tikkun olam is a Hebrew concept that means “repair of the world”. This inspires CannabizMD and its partners to behave and act constructively and beneficially for society, creating passion, transparency, teamwork, accountability, determination, and a solid willingness to evolve.
