Miream Rabba and Carole Preston are co-hosting and facilitating this event.
Carole Preston (she/her) is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), Counselling Therapist and professional Canadian Art Therapist with Currents Art Therapy. She has a background in psychology, global education and improv theatre. Carole works within an anti-oppressive client-centered framework to help clients navigate challenging feelings, thoughts and behaviors. Carole weaves her experiences and education into creating a warm, welcoming and safe therapeutic environment for all ages.
Miream Rabba (she/her) is an art therapist and therapeutic arts facilitator with Art is Within, based in Victoria, BC, the unceded territories of the lək̓ʷəŋən peoples. After 20 years of working in human-centred design, Miream now helps people reconnect with their creativity, especially those who think they’re “not creative.” Her workshops focus on process, not perfection, and offer a low-pressure space to make meaning through materials, mess, symbolism, and metaphor.
Miream's approach is gently structured and often nature-inspired. Expect a mix of reflection, experimentation, and quiet moments. No art skills or experience needed, just curiosity, a willingness to explore, and maybe a cup of tea.
