With a voice quoted as ‘enchantress’ and ‘angelic’ and an adventurous upbringing spread across the globe, Cat has collected a colourful mix of cultural influences she loves to weave into her music.
Speaking 5 languages and singing in almost as many, Cat’s music travels from Indian classical to Latin rhythms and jazz, spiced with gypsy, Arab and African flavours — a colourful palette.
Growing up in the eclectic multicultural hub of Marseille, Southern France, she was infused with a taste for the unusual and exotic which followed her well into her adult years. Her love of discovering new cultures, languages and music has taken her to study singing in India and South America, the influence of which has naturally woven itself into her sound.
Cat completed a Bachelor of Contemporary Music in 2018, majoring in Performance with Singing, which gave her the tools to overcome her own fears of being seen, on stage and baring her Soul through her Voice, which does feel vulnerable.
Cat sees Creative endeavours as a potent reminder of our Creative Choices & Freedom in Life, as well as a powerful tool for Expressive Freedom, supporting our overall health and wellbeing in the process. Often combining this with Daoist and embodiment techniques, Cat is now passionate about sharing these tools with others for them to remember and reconnect to their own authenticity, joy, play, fun, spontaneity and sense of expressive freedom, as well as to embody an overarching sense of emotional health and wellbeing. She offers 1:1 sessions as well as starting a choir in Byron Bay shortly.
