We’re Catherine and Elliott - mum and daughter, two generations, different life experiences, and lots of conversations about life, dreams, ideas and what we’re going to do next.
We’ve talked about creating something together for a long time. It’s been one of those “we have to do this one day” dreams we’ve both carried with us.
And one day has become now and we are incredibly excited about it.
We’re both big believers in making the most of this fabulous life.
Catherine has spent more than 40 years helping people create change in their lives. She’s a life strategist, mentor, coach, eternal optimist and absolute lover of life who is still asking herself at 60-something, “What do I want next?” and then usually finding a way to make it happen.
Elliott is right in the thick of creating her own NEXT. She’s grown up surrounded by conversations about dreams, possibilities and what we really want from life, and has always been a dreamer and a believer, but also someone who is incredibly capable of turning an idea into something real.
Three years ago, she sat in one of Catherine’s events with the beginnings of an idea and a desire to create something meaningful. That little seed has grown into Meringo Sun, her ethical coastal swimwear label built around women, the ocean, community and doing things a little more consciously. And now she’s beginning to explore another part of her NEXT - creating experiences that bring women together and help them explore what they want too.
So yes, we’re at very different stages of life, and that’s part of what makes doing this together so special.
We bring different perspectives, experiences and ideas, with the same outlook at the heart of it all:

That’s why we created NEXT.
We want to bring women together who are as obsessed about life as we are. Women with ideas, dreams, questions and that little sense that there might be something else they want to do, experience or create.
And we want to create the kind of space we’d both want to be part of ourselves - relaxed, welcoming, inspiring, full of fabulous women and great conversations. Somewhere you can say the thing you’ve been secretly thinking and have someone respond with: “Oh my Goodness, YES. Why couldn’t you?”
NEXT is our first event together, which makes this one incredibly special to us.
