The Curtin Centre for Applied Ethics (CCAE) brings ethical thinking into conversation with the complex challenges of contemporary life.
Based at Curtin University, the Centre connects research, education, industry and community to explore the ethical questions that arise in the decisions we make, the organisations we build and the societies we shape.
Our work is grounded in the belief that ethics should not exist only in theory. It should help us navigate the real world.
Through research, public events, collaborative projects, education and meaningful dialogue, CCAE creates spaces where academics, professionals, students, policymakers, industry leaders and members of the wider community can come together to examine difficult questions from multiple perspectives.
Our areas of engagement span emerging and established ethical challenges across business, technology, sustainability, healthcare, leadership, public policy, professional practice and society.
At the heart of the Centre is curiosity: a willingness to ask better questions, listen to different perspectives and explore not simply what we can do, but what we should do — and why.
CCAE events are designed to extend these conversations beyond the university, bringing research and ideas into dialogue with the people and communities they affect.
Thoughtful questions. Diverse perspectives. Ethics applied to the real world.
