About the NSP Central Division
The Central Division of the National Ski Patrol (NSP) serves patrollers and ski areas across eight Midwestern states, providing education, certification, and leadership in outdoor emergency care and mountain safety. As part of the national NSP organization, the Central Division supports both volunteer and professional patrollers through hands-on training, instructor development, and advanced programs such as the Certified and Senior Patroller tracks.
With a focus on excellence, camaraderie, and service, the division hosts major regional events—like the annual First Tracks Conference—to promote professional development, recognize outstanding patrollers, and strengthen the ski patrol community.
