Drummond Street Services provides inclusive, compassionate, and practical support for individuals and communities navigating personal challenges and systemic barriers. Whether it’s related to living situations, health, identity, relationships, or community, we’re here to meet people where they are and walk with them through all stages of life.

Our organisation encompasses a diverse range of programs and initiatives, including Stepfamilies Australia, The Drum Youth Services, Queerspace and Queerspace Youth, the Centre for Family Research and Evaluation (CFRE), and Archer Magazine. These programs are supported by our extensive services designed to meet the unique needs of the communities we serve.

Guided by a public health and social justice framework and through an intersectional lens, we are committed to continuous growth and action across six key pillars:

  1. Honouring First Nations People – Embedding respect and recognition in everything we do.

  2. Affirmative Employment – Creating equitable opportunities and inclusive workplaces.

  3. Diverse Knowledge – Valuing lived experience and cultural wisdom.

  4. Inclusive and Culturally Competent Practices – Providing services that reflect and respect the identities of those we support.

  5. Accountability and Restorative Justice – Ensuring transparency and advocating for systemic change.

  6. Strategic Advocacy – Amplifying voices to drive meaningful, lasting impact.

We recognise that financial hardship and inequality continue to disproportionately affect certain communities, including First Nations people, QTIPOC, asylum seekers, refugees, international students, and those working in industries like sex work and hospitality. We honour their resilience, strength, and determination in the face of these challenges.
