Cherry Rype is a 20 year old artist from EORA, NSW. She/her crafts a soul/alternative/edm infusion that explicitly details the status of being a teen girl struggling with many forms of abuse. Not for the faint hearted, her analogies portrayed within her lyricism select the issues often shameful to be discussed within society, to which it shouldn’t be, that affect many young people. “I treat songwriting and producing as my personal therapist”

Taking inspiration from MARINA, in her Electra Heart Era, Lana Del Rey and Stevie Nicks.

“I grew up on edm and alternative rock, it allowed me to be able to distinguish genres w the help of my father and start making my own music. I had been singing in music school since i was 4 years old, and I was trained in musical theatre and it really helped expand my skill set”
