Chie Morley (nee Iijima) is from Tokyo, Japan. She has lived in Hobart since 2005. Chie is passionate about nature and wildlife. She worked and volunteered for 5 years for wildlife conservation NGOs and a local parks and wildlife agency in Japan. Her passion for wildlife brought her to Tasmania where she completed a post-graduate Masters degree in Environmental Studies – studying the endangered Forty-spotted pardalote.
Since becoming a mother and housewife, Chie has looked for ways to reduce her family’s impact on the environment as well as exploring and preparing healthy food. She realised that changing the way we cook and eat is something she could do. Now she focuses on providing homemade, healthy food to guests using local and ethical ingredients. The goal of her cooking is to provide food that is good for your body and good for the environment.
