Chris Lynch is a White Papuan-Australian of Gaelic heritage. A poet and fiction writer, he has degrees in environmental science, journalism and teaching, and has taught English and science for over 20 years at universities in Australia, China and Japan. Previously severed from his Ancestry, he has been working intensively on reconnecting over the last six years, visiting and walking the South of Ireland and the Scottish Highlands for the first time in 2023. He currently lives alongside the Merri Creek, on Wurundjeri Country.
