CHWC's mission is to invest in the power of our neighbors to build communities that thrive for generations. Our vision is an abundant, inclusive and welcoming Wyandotte County where every person can feel at home in a neighborhood they love.
To achieve this, we work together with our neighbors to invest strategically in key areas of quality of life:
- We build and renovate high-quality homes in our neighborhoods.
- We offer education, purchase assistance, and other programs that make homeownership more accessible, especially for our low- and moderate-income neighbors.
- We promote thriving communities by investing in the arts, health, and neighborhood capacity.
In just the last year, CHWC has:
- Built, renovated, or repaired 124 homes
- Supported 145 families in achieving or sustaining homeownership
- Facilitated more than 20,000 hours of community engagement in our neighborhoods
