I’m an artist and curator based in Boorloo/Perth. My work is influenced by my lived experience at the intersection of disability and queerness. I am particularly interested in collaborative and participatory practices that embrace the concept of interdependence. I believe that our survival is interconnected with our environment, both human and non-human, at local and global levels.
My work is multidisciplinary, weaving together documentary processes with textiles, drawing, photography, sound, video, and social events.
I have completed two residencies in Taiwan funded by Asialink (2014) and the City of Taipei (2019).
I also developed an exhibition titled Asking the Stones Where To Begin during a residency funded by the Department of Culture and the Arts in Listhús, Ólafsfjörður, Northern Iceland (2016). The project explored the physical and psychological landscape of the mountainous Tröllaskagi region, with its dark stone as a refuge and a connection to deep knowledge.
I have exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in Australia and internationally, including Third Space (2013) and (2016) in Shanghai, China, #RT_samplr (2014) and Innerspace (2019) in Taipei, Taiwan and Factually Real Illusions (2016) in London, UK.
I have been the Curator at DADAA Gallery, Fremantle, since 2022.
