For members of the queer community, car services can be very inaccessible.
The automotive industry is highly gendered and male dominated, car knowledge is often gatekept, and those without expertise are over charged for services that with the right education, could be done ourselves. Lack of family connection, withheld education, and an intimidating environment, creates barriers to us accessing safe, supportive and affordable car care.
Community Car Care aims to instill independence and make the automotive industry more transparent and easier to navigate; by providing knowledge to our communities in a safe environment.
We provide workshops, online help, driving lessons, log book services & sourcing parts, specifically for the LGBTIQA+ communities.
We also provide free servicing to First Nations people, and acknowledge that we reside and operate on unceded First Nations land.
