Community Care Kitchen (CCK) is a non-profit organisation run by volunteers, dedicated to combating food insecurity. It primarily assists vulnerable community members, particularly families living in poverty, by providing culturally sensitive services.
Originating as an initiative by a group of women to address gaps in non-profit sector support, CCK initially focused on refugees and asylum seekers. It has since expanded to support a broader range of community members facing hardship, including single-parent families, low-income households, the elderly, the homeless, families with sick members, children on the autism spectrum and more.
CCK advocates for diverse community volunteering and involvement, emphasising dignity, care and respect in its mission to help those in need.
