About CIRN (Critical Incident Response Network)
The Critical Incident Response Network (CIRN) is an independent, clinician-led humanitarian network providing early mental health stabilisation and psychosocial support following critical incidents, disasters, and community trauma.
CIRN brings together trained helpers to deliver evidence-informed, culturally responsive group and individual interventions, with a strong focus on normalising early trauma responses, nervous system regulation, and community recovery. Our work sits between Psychological First Aid and longer-term trauma therapy, and is guided by ethical governance, clinician wellbeing, and stepped-care principles.
CIRN operates independently of professional associations and institutions, while collaborating respectfully with community leaders, organisations, and services to ensure coordinated, safe, and timely support where it is most needed.
