Dan Bogan – Founder | CEO | Advocate
Dan Bogan is a builder of movements, a driver of change, and a leader in his field. He's the visionary and a Founding Director of SAPIEN Health, Creator of Heavy Mental Health, and played a pivotal role in the campaign saving Adelaide’s iconic “Cranker”, leading to legislative changes and earning the Citizen of the Year 2025 Award for Active Citizenship. From grassroots advocacy to global initiatives, his work spans mental health, addiction recovery, consciousness science, and pioneering community initiatives.
Having personally navigated addiction, severe mental health battles, and multiple near-death experiences, Dan’s work is not theoretical—it is forged in reality. His expertise in somatic processing, breathwork, and recovery-focused interventions make him a sought-after voice in mental health advocacy, integration work, and consciousness research.
Breathwork made a huge impact on his life, and after years of practice, he developed OA, a comprehensive, grounded breathwork and meditative practice that blends ancient techniques with practical application for a balanced modern life.
His contributions extend far beyond personal development—he is actively engaged in shaping policy, creating large-scale mental health initiatives, and leading movements that challenge outdated paradigms. He continues to serve as a board member of Save the Cranker (soon to be MCA - Music Culture Adelaide) and CEDAR (Conscious Embodiment, Dance, and Relating).
Dan’s work is direct, strategic, and to the point—translating deep personal insight, lived experience, and innovative research into tangible, scalable systems for human wellbeing and systemic change. He is building systems that last. His approach delivers practical solutions and frameworks that support adaptability, resilience, and self-responsibility, creating a meaningful and lasting legacy.
He doesn’t just talk about change—he builds it.
