Rooted in artistic inspiration cultivated during his upbringing in Mexico in the early 1980s, Darren's passion for music flourished. His formative years in Sydney saw him immersed in the world of performing arts, honing his skills in piano, singing, acting, and tap dancing. Graduating high school in 1989, Darren caught the attention of Australian jazz luminary James Morrison, embarking on a decade-long musical journey spanning the globe. Recently, Darren joined James on a tour across Australia to celebrate his 60th birthday culminating in an unforgettable performance on the steps of The Sydney Opera House that was televised out across the nation.

Darren's soulful voice and magnetic stage presence enchant audiences, leaving them captivated by his abundant resonance, stage presence, original compositions and infectious joyfulness. With thirty- nine years of experience under his belt, Darren delivers breathtaking live performances, showcasing his innate talent and boundless creativity. His vocal prowess has graced numerous recordings, jingles, and voice-overs, collaborating with esteemed artists including Jimmy Barnes, Katie Noonan, Guy Sebastian, American vocal artist Bobby McFerrin and the closing credits song on the highly acclaimed motion picture The Sapphires.

In 1997, Darren founded The Singing Space, a platform dedicated to empowering individuals, companies, and choirs to unlock their vocal potential. His latest endeavor, RöAR | Unleash Your Voice ~ Embrace The Unknown, offers transformative corporate retreats aimed at enhancing team wellness and productivity through confidence-building vocal experiences. Darren's facilitation of these events is marked by enthusiasm, authenticity, and effortless mastery.

In 2003, Darren's alter ego, Mr. Percival, emerged alongside groundbreaking voice recording technology, captivating audiences with innovative live looping performances. His albums "Out Of The Loop" and "Microphones" propelled Mr. Percival to national acclaim, enchanting audiences at music festivals, corporate events, and concerts across Australia.

Today, Darren Percival offers a diverse range of musical services, including solo vocal looping performances, live concerts featuring original music and selections from The Voice 2012 album Happy Home, and collaborations with The Big Band for a tribute to Ray Charles. Additionally, Darren provides music for wedding ceremonies, special events, gala dinners, and hosts RöAR vocal gatherings both in-house and offsite.
