The Department of Home Affairs is responsible for delivering on a range of Australian Government international and domestic priorities and plays a central role in Australia’s national security architecture. The department seeks to contribute to a prosperous and cohesive Australia that is resilient, safe and positioned to adapt and respond to the challenges of the future. It is responsible for various aspects of national security, law enforcement, immigration, and border management and security.
The Cyber Policy and Programs branch directly supports the Minister for Cyber Security’s development of cyber security policy for the Australian Government, including the implementation of the 2023–2030 Australian Cyber Security Strategy. We work on cyber security threats and opportunities in Australia and overseas, including the security of critical and emerging technology.
