Our Vision is to empower people to navigate a digital world
Future-proof your learners and staff with a Digital Literacy Licence.
We live in a digital era, supported by diverse technologies that are continually updating. Our dependence on these technologies has rapidly increased in the wake of the pandemic: as a coping mechanism, as an outlet for communication and as a learning tool. Having digital skills that go beyond basic IT is therefore crucial, but though many of us are savvy with our laptops and smartphones, there remains a lack of understanding around the mechanics of technology, as well as how to use it safely.
Digital literacy refers to the ability to function confidently, critically and effectively in digital spaces. A Digital Literacy Licence (DLL) is a set of microcredentials that equip learners with digital literacy skills. By strengthening learners’ understanding of relevant technology and giving them the tools to navigate the online world safely, a DLL enriches their experience in the classroom, the workplace and their everyday lives.
The Digital Literacy Licence is:
- self-paced learning on our online platform
- a highly interactive experience using a story-telling approach
- formally recognised via a digital credential from Learning Vault
