The Disruptive Business Network is a platform and community for people who want more meaning in their work. Through essays, podcasts, workshops and events, it explores better ways of working, living and building by questioning stale assumptions about success, career and business. At its heart, DBN brings together intellectually curious professionals who want work to feel more human, purposeful and alive.
The Disruptive Business Network was founded by Rahul Soans. Rahul Soans is a writer, educator, strategist and entrepreneur whose work sits at the intersection of meaning, work and human potential. He founded The Disruptive Business Network to be a platform that explores how we might build more thoughtful, purposeful and human ways of working through essays, podcasts, workshops and events.
Alongside this, Rahul works in entrepreneurial education and program design, helping founders, communities and organisations develop ideas, strengthen strategy and navigate uncertainty with greater clarity. His background spans engineering, business, marketing, design thinking and startup leadership, giving him a cross-disciplinary lens that blends rigour with creativity.
Rahul is also the host of the Finding Meaning in Work podcast, where he speaks with founders, creatives, thinkers and professionals about the deeper forces that shape a working life. Across his writing and teaching, he is especially interested in questions of purpose, adaptability, responsibility and what it means to do work that is not only productive, but genuinely worthwhile.
His thinking draws on a wide range of influences, including Viktor Frankl, stoicism, entrepreneurship, psychology, literature and the arts. Whether he is designing a workshop, teaching university students, writing an essay or hosting a conversation, Rahul’s work is guided by a simple but demanding question: how do we live and work in a way that is more awake, more courageous and more aligned with what matters?
He is based in Melbourne and continues to build a body of work devoted to helping others find meaning in work.
