DIY Collective Inc. is a volunteer-led community theatre company dedicated to creating inclusive, accessible, and high-quality theatrical productions. Operating as a registered not-for-profit charity, the company focuses on expanding participation in the performing arts by reducing financial and time barriers for both performers and audiences while supporting the development of emerging creative talent.
Officially formed in 2020, the DIY Collective team have been creating in Victoria and Tasmania for many years. Our founding directors, Ruby Doherty and Jayden Faul, are recipients of a Tasmanian Theatre Award and have worked together on several shows across Tasmania’s north-west coast before moving to Victoria. Producer Helena Rann joined them to create her first show, Rent.
