Dost is a small group of volunteers who are providing support to a refugee family under the umbrella of the Community Refugee Integration Settlement Pilot (CRISP). Our group will provide all kinds of support, including helping the family to learn English, to find work and schools, to navigate public transport and shops and to settle into their new Melbourne community. Importantly, we provide temporary accommodation and assist in locating more permanent accommodation, and help the family financially with setting up their house, buying groceries, and with health and other expenses. So while enjoying bingo and being in the running for some great prizes, you are also helping to support Dost in this important work.
