Dr Kate Luckins is an expert in the high cost of fashion and food, and why many people who care about the planet have such “unsustainable” habits (and how to help them fix that). She’s penned the book “Live More with Less: Upgrade your life without costing the Earth” (Affirm Press) to share her medium-green, imperfect-yet-engaging approach to sustainable living.
Using design thinking and consumer psychology, Kate helps people understand and change habits—saving them time and money, and a lot of pointless eco-guilt. With a background in design and environmental sustainability, Kate has built a career as an academic, serial anti-waste activist and entrepreneur. She kickstarted a global clothes swapping movement when she founded The Clothing Exchange in 2004 and created education platform Sustainable Lifestyle in 2019 which has helped thousands of people reduce fashion and food waste.
