Dr Naomi Malone (she/her) is a passionate and experienced Counselling Psychologist with over 20 years of experience in clinical practice, supervision, and program development. Having worked her entire career in rural Victoria, Naomi has developed a deep understanding of resilience, collaboration, and the importance of connected, values-driven care in the face of isolation and adversity.
For ten years, Naomi owned and operated A Life Simply Lived Psychology in the Mallee, providing cohesive, coordinated client care and working closely with other health and disability professionals to build strong interdisciplinary relationships. She has worked across community health, private practice, and academic settings and brings this breadth of experience into her supervision and teaching.
Naomi is an AHPRA-registered clinical supervisor and a lecturer in La Trobe University’s rural and remote-focused Master of Professional Psychology program. She is committed to educating the next generation of clinicians and supporting professionals across the health and disability sectors to integrate neurodiversity-affirming, client-centred, and trauma-informed practice into their work.
As a late-diagnosed and proud Autistic/ADHDer, Naomi has a deep appreciation for the process of redefining identity, unmasking, and finding safety in authenticity. She is passionate about supporting neurodivergent clinicians and allies, from early-career practitioners to experienced professionals navigating their own late identification, to develop reflexive practice, grow their confidence, and flourish in their professional identities.
Naomi also contributes to systemic change through advocacy and leadership, serving as Chair of Community Engagement for the ACBS Neurodiversity-Affirming Research & Practice SIG, a member of La Trobe University’s EDI Disability Advisory Group, and a member of the Autistic Pride Day Advisory Board.
