The Homeward Bound selectors noted that my expertise in virology and people leadership and potential to lead and enact change allowed my selection into the highly competitive international STEMM leadership program. Only 100 women are selected Globally each year. I was fortunate to be a member of the 2022 (HB7 cohort). I finished the online component of the program in 2023, which means I have joined 800 other women STEMM leaders who have finished that component, called the Global HB Alumnae.
This makes me eligible to participate in the expedition to Antarctica in January 2025. To continue the program of making this program more available to more STEMM women, the decision has been made to take the program to more accessible locations in the future. As a result, this will be the LAST voyage to Antarctica, so support for this last voyage will be more notable.
My Homeward Bound sisters are a group of women in STEMM working together globally on climate change projects.
I seek support from people like you to enable participation in that Jan 2025 expedition to Antarctica, which will be the last ever.
