Draw Plants Together
Plant drawing workshops for everyone, hosted at community spaces, events and festivals.
Draw Plants Together encourages connections with plants and with each other. The workshops centre plants
indigenous to the Narrm/Melbourne area and offer a supportive space for learning.
What can I expect?
- Fun and relaxed 2-hour creative sessions held at different locations on Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung Country
- A
feeling of wellbeing – notice plants more in the company of others and gain confidence with drawing
“The workshop increased my confidence to try different techniques in drawing and improved my observation
skills”
– participant, Coburg Library Makerspace
Draw Plants Together is an inclusive space. Everyone of all ages, backgrounds, sexualities, genders and abilities is
welcome.
About me
My name is Craig (he/him). I am an artist and I love plants. I’ve also worked extensively with people in a range of different learning contexts, and have 20 years experience in teaching and workshop facilitation with adults.
In my classes and workshops, my focus is on creating inclusive and enjoyable learning environments where connection, creativity and experimentation can happen.
I have completed studies in art (RMIT and VCA) as well as linguistics (Monash), and have an Advanced Certificate in Relational Gestalt Counselling (Gestalt Therapy Australia).
I work and volunteer at VINC (Victorian Indigenous Nurseries Cooperative) and am passionate about Indigenous plants and local ecologies.
