Dyllan is a wildlife and conservation photographer and filmmaker based in Perth, and the founder of ARKD, a sole trader conservation media business built around fine art wildlife photography, documentary film and conservation.
After years as a wedding photographer, he turned his lens toward the natural world, and he hasn't looked back. He's now halfway through his 101 Creatures project, a personal challenge to photograph 101 of Western Australia's most overlooked species, driven by the belief that people protect what they know and love.
Dyllan volunteers at Perth Wildlife Hospital, where he cares for black cockatoos and is building a photographic series celebrating each bird's personality. When he's not out shooting, he manages a camera store, so he can talk gear and technique in equal measure, and he specialises in the OM System range.
His workshops are relaxed, hands-on and ethics-first. You'll leave with better images, sharper fieldcraft and a deeper connection to the wildlife in your own backyard.
