We help children and young people who have been diagnosed with a primary eating disorder, and their families.
Our mental health clinicians use evidence-based treatments and have
specialist training to assess and treat a range of restrictive eating
disorders.
We also treat secondary diagnoses that may be supporting the eating
disorder such as anxiety, trauma or obsessive-compulsive disorder.
You need a referral to use our service and you must also be 18 years of age or younger.
You can be referred by:
- your GP
- your child and youth mental health service (CYMHS)
- your private psychiatrist
- your paediatrician
- a private practitioner, such as your social worker or psychologist.
Your referring specialist or GP will do an assessment before they
refer you to us. You must have a current GP medical review and active
referral to our services.
If you don’t live in Brisbane we can provide assessment and treatment by telehealth. You must be under the care of a child and youth mental health
service, and they must take the lead in your care. You must be referred
to us by that service.
We can also help you connect with other support services across Queensland.
For health professionals, we provide consultation, second opinion diagnosis and complex case reviews across Queensland.
We also provide health professional training and supervision and can help with service development and capacity building services.
